I have a donation made online that I was emailed a verification to not showing up.

Hi Kymber,
Your donation would disappear from a fundraising page if the card you used to donate with was declined. The email you received from us states that your card will now be sent to be processed - it's not a confirmation that it has already been processed. There is a help section post with more information about declined donations here, in the Donating to a Page section.

Thanks the donation was from my mother, who would never have been declined. Could it be another reason?

It's showing as declined - however, it could be declined for a variety of reasons, including typos or entering the card number with spaces or dashes between the groups of numbers. It doesn't necessarily mean there's something the matter with her account - just that based on what she typed in, her card couldn't be processed. However, we aren't given the specifics of why a card is declined, for donor privacy.

I also have an online donation that isn't appearing in my summary. The confirming email is below:
Joy Xxxxx has just made a donation of $50.00 to your fundraising page for ALPHA USA.
Take a look at your page and see if they’ve left a message...

Hi James,
The same situation is true for Joy's donation to your page - her card was declined. This is why a donation would appear (and you would get the email) and then disappear. We have emailed her to alert her to the situation, so hopefully she will check her card details and try again.

This donation is not showing up on my page. Can you give me an explanation?
This donation doesn't show up because the donor's credit card was declined - just like in the other cases in this thread, when a donation appears and then disappears (or if you receive a notification of it, but it's gone before you get a chance to see it), it's because your donor's card was declined. As always, we've notified your donor that their card didn't go through, so they can check their card details and try again.

I made an online donation and no email was sent to me to verify donation. I then used a second credit card and that donation was also not verified by email. I want to cancel my donations since you have not verified my donation to the Melanoma Research foundation. I am very disappointed in your services.

Hello Nan,
Thanks for contacting FirstGiving, I'm happy to help.
I see both of your donations to the Melanoma Research Foundation in our system. I have resent your receipts for your donation to your email address that you used to donate. Be sure to check your junk/spam folder to be sure your emailed receipts did not go there. Contact support@firstgiving.com if you still have not received your receipts or if you need your donations to be refunded.
I am actually having a similar issue as Nan is having. I'm raising money for Special Olympics of Delaware, Polar Bear Plunge. I have a page through FirstGiving and I have a couple of people that say they made a donation... However they have not shown on my page nor have I received an e-mail either.

Hi Tiffany,
If you did not receive an email and you don't see the donations on your page, it means your donors either did not complete the donation, or they donated elsewhere. I can look up your donors and see if they gave elsewhere on the FirstGiving site - I'll email you for more information.

Hi Camille,
I don't know how much they donated and all I would be able to give you is first and last name, would that be helpful?
