When are checks cut to the non-profit?

The non-profit for which I created my fundraising page has already begun work on the project for which I am fundraising. Are they able to receive any funding prior to when the fundraising ends (either by "expiring," or by my canceling the page)?

Hello Peter,

Thanks for contacting FirstGiving!

Checks are sent to the nonprofit once monthly (mid-month on the 15th or 16th) for the previous months donations. For example funds raised in May get to the organization mid-June. Canceling or completing your page does not affect this process at all. Please let us know if you have any further questions!

Sincerely,

Chris Harvey
