Send this out to all fundraisers who are looking for ways to make their personal fundraising pages successful and effective.

Hello, SUPPORTER:

Fundraising is a challenging and rewarding activity, and we’re grateful to supporters like you as we push toward our goal of $XXX,XXX. We’d like to offer you some tips to help you achieve your own fundraising goals:

  • Personalize your page: Tell your story with a photo, compelling message, or  YouTube video, or add more photos from your Flickr account. Your page is your place to show donors exactly why you are supporting YOUR NONPROFIT.
  • Share your page: Send your page to everyone in your address book. The great thing about your personal fundraising page is that you don’t have to go door-to-door to ask for donations. Instead of spending days on phone calls or visits, you can send an email to multiple people in just a few minutes.
  • Don’t be timid about asking for support: Because you are not asking people in person to donate, it takes the anxiety off both parties.
  • See what other supporters are doing: Get more ideas by looking at the pages of other YOUR NONPROFIT OR EVENT fundraisers. You might find some great techniques that you should try yourself.

If you need any help getting started, please contact the FirstGiving support team at 877-365-2949 or support@firstgiving.com.

Thank you again, and good luck in your fundraising efforts.

Best regards,
